Definition
The "Reference · Rule Package · N items" block at the bottom of the page: packaged checklists, templates, and criteria from the textbook that have not been turned into tools are placed here first, with pointers back to their sources.
In detail
The textbook contains nearly four hundred packaged items — checklists, templates, matrices, question sets — that are neither thresholds nor decision rules. Turning all of them into tools is impractical; decision criteria and principles are meant for reading. So, by routing, they are placed in reference blocks at the bottom of corresponding pages, with rule package attribution.
Example in practice
When creating a marketing plan, open the segmentation tool page, scroll to the bottom 'Reference · Customer Segmentation · 20 items', expand to read the five levels of the brand asset pyramid with questions to answer and five rules for value propositions, and review the existing brand positioning level by level.
