Definition
The operational entity has typed, directed edges, recognizing only six registered types: belongs to, occurs at, leads to, initiates, produces, and revises. They attach to subjects and events, not between tables. Not DBS training content.
In detail
Belongs to is the organizational tree; occurs on is which object an event is attached to; triggers is anomaly → problem; initiates is problem → improvement activity; generates is audit → rectification; revises is problem or improvement activity → standard work, linking the A of SDCA back to S. Unregistered relationship types are rejected; both end types must match, and instances must exist. The "related" tag on rows in Andon, PSP, and Kaizen week lists, and the "related" block on object pages, both read from this.
Example in practice
When creating a PSP from Andon, the system automatically logs an "Initiate"; when Step 9 of the PSP solidifies a standard, it logs a "Revision" to that standard work; opening the standard work object page allows tracing the entire chain.
