Definition
Five dimensions of the daily management indicator plate: safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity.
In detail
SQDIP is the five dimensions of the daily management metrics board: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. In the system, it is used for daily management, allowing teams to see performance status at a glance. Its difference from the Balanced Scorecard is that SQDIP focuses more on the operational level and is updated daily. Outputs include a visual metrics board with trend charts and target lines for each dimension, along with abnormality markers.
Example in practice
In the workshop, at the daily pre-shift meeting, the team leader leads employees to review the SQDIP board, checking whether safety, quality, delivery, and other metrics meet targets. If a metric turns red, they immediately organize a discussion and use problem-solving tools to analyze the cause. Through continuous tracking, the team can quickly respond to abnormalities and maintain stable performance.
