Definition

The Danaher staff or team has planned discussions and activities around a particular theme or project.

In detail

A Workshop is a planned, themed meeting format that allows employees or teams to conduct in-depth discussions and activities around a specific problem or project. It addresses the problem of low efficiency and insufficient participation in regular meetings, using structured processes and interactive tools to stimulate collective intelligence. Unlike daily meetings, workshops typically have clear outputs such as decisions, plans, or solutions. They typically output action plans, design drafts, or problem solutions.

Example in practice

When a company needs to develop its annual strategy, it organizes a cross-departmental workshop and uses a strategic planning template to guide discussions. Participants form strategic options through brainstorming, group discussions, and voting. At the end of the workshop, the team reaches consensus on priorities and develops an implementation plan.
