MBS Three-Dimension Metric Rating Model

← All terms

Also called: Metric evaluation model · Three-level indicator evaluation · Importance, Real-time, Difficulty · Three-tier data indicator system · MBS Metric Rating

Definition

MBS pull informatization manual's indicator scoring tool: importance (affects quality and delivery), real-time (period/day/hour/minute level), difficulty (fully manual to single-system automatic data retrieval) each 1–4 points, prioritize systems and management boards by demand and difficulty, and define alarm/warning/notification/analysis type for each indicator. Not a DBS standard.

In detail

The tier definitions for three dimensions are fixed: importance 4 points means affecting both quality and delivery, real-time 4 points means minute-level real-time, difficulty 4 points means single-system automatic data retrieval. The original uses it to select the top 24 items from candidates. ABS treats it as a scorer for "whether to post on the board and how often to refresh": importance ≥3 goes to the management board, refresh frequency maps to the real-time tier; these two are ABS inferences, marked design_decision.

Example in practice

A plant wanted to display all 40 KPIs on the big screen; after model scoring, only 9 items had importance ≥3 and could auto-pull data; the rest were scheduled for semi-automatic manual entry or system build backlog; the big screen showed only these 9 items, with refresh rates set to daily and every 2 hours based on real-time needs.
