The DBS Leader Boot Camp (DBSL-BC) is a five-day high-intensity hands-on learning program for new DBS Leaders, completing lean transformation, Standard Work, and 5S on the shop floor. It emphasizes practice over theory, letting participants master tools in a real environment. In the system, it is linked to DBSL Success Factors, Performance Appraisal, and Talent Review, and connects to continuing education; the DBSL Boot Camp has no standalone certification. It typically produces training records, Kaizen project results, and so on.
Example in practice
A newly appointed DBSL was sent to a training camp. Within five days, under mentor guidance, he implemented 5S and Standard Work on a production line. He operated hands-on to understand tool application. After the camp, he returned to the factory to replicate the experience and coach the team.
