Also called: DBS Leader

Definition

Lead DBS activities at the bases, plan and validate the owners of improved results maintenance and improve manufacturing and service processes with the DBS toolbox.

In detail

The Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL) is the person responsible for leading DBS activities at each site, planning and verifying the sustainment of Kaizen results, and improving manufacturing and transactional processes with the DBS toolbox. They are a key role in DBS deployment, connecting senior strategy with frontline execution. In the system, the DBSL is linked to three tools—DBSL Success Factors, Performance Appraisal, and Talent Review—and continuously participates in continuing education; the DBSL Boot Camp itself has no standalone certification. It typically produces Kaizen plans, results verification reports, and so on.

Example in practice

A factory's new DBSL attended the DBSL bootcamp and learned lean tools. After returning, he planned improvement weeks, led teams to optimize production lines, and regularly audited sustainability. He organized monthly DBS activities to enhance company-wide improvement awareness.
