DBSL Continuing Education Workshop

← All terms

Also called: DBSL Workshop · DBS Leaders Continuing Education · Continuing education workshops · DBSL Continuing Education · DBS Leader Continuing Education · Annual DBSL Workshop

Definition

The paragraph after certification – which of these is the one that determines whether a trained and certified DBS leader needs to do it again now; it consists of annual workshops, single-point classes per month, and three different channels for the required lessons, measuring whether the calculator has been maintained after three months of events that he has guided. The corresponding module has no package material, and the tool card is a re-building element. The monthly telephone conference hosted by the alias “One-point course” is not the same as the single-point course (OPL) in the TPM context.

In detail

DBSL Continuing Education Workshops are a post-certification continuous learning mechanism, determining whether certified DBS Leaders need refresher training or specific courses. It consists of annual workshops, monthly single-point lessons, and on-demand courses, with the metric being whether improvements led by participants are sustained after three months. It addresses 'capability degradation after training,' and unlike leadership development programs (systematic paths for high-potentials), it focuses on continuous improvement for certified individuals. Note: The alias 'single-point lesson' refers to the DBS Office's monthly call, unrelated to OPL (One Point Lesson) in TPM. Outputs typically include refresher plans, course calendars, and effectiveness tracking reports.

Example in practice

One year after a DBS leader completed certification, it was found that a Kaizen project he led rebounded after three months. The Danaher Business System Office, following the continuing education process, arranged for him to attend a monthly single-point lesson on the topic "Sustaining Kaizen Results". After learning, he reapplied the tools, and the project results stabilized.
