Definition

The job image (job description X success factor) is transformed into a group of recognizable behavioural problems, and a set of scores is transformed into a recognizable tool for the quality of judgement of the admission decision: the interviewer is the surveyor, and the interview score is counted only after the surveyor has been calibrated. The calculator (internal filling/retention) is assigned to cvd, the competency list is assigned to the development-plan, and this article only covers the middle of the evidence, rating and alignment.

In detail

Interview and Selection Training is a set of judgment quality tools that convert job profiles into scorable behavioral questions and then convert scores into reviewable hiring decisions. It addresses the issue of "hiring by gut feeling": interviewers are positioned as measurers, and interview scores are only meaningful after calibration. Unlike performance management, which handles post-hire evaluation, this item focuses solely on evidence gathering, scoring, and consensus in hiring. Typical outputs include structured interview guides, scoring sheets, and interviewer calibration manuals.

Example in practice

When the company needs to hire a manager for a key position and the hiring department asks questions based on impressions, making interview results difficult to compare, HR introduces this training. After training, interviewers use a unified set of behavioral questions, score according to rating criteria, and deliberate collectively. The result is an evidence-based hiring recommendation, reducing mis-hiring risk and providing a more consistent candidate experience.
